Médecine Chinoise

Chinese Medicine

It is an ancient medical system developed during the last million years in China. Originally it spread over Eastern Asia especially in Korea and Japan. Traditional Chinese medicine arrived in the western world during the 20th century and has developed enormously in the last decades.

Written history of Chinese medicine goes back more than 2000 years. As time went by the practice by Chinese doctors was based mainly on the experience of their predecessors and by continuously developing new therapeutic methods. If some of the ancient methods were no longer efficient they were replaced by new ones. Others, on the contrary were maintained. Eventually the most efficient treatments emerged.
